Driver injured in rear-end crash at stoplight

A 42-year-old man driving a truck rear-ended another vehicle at a stoplight while trying to turn left. Bystanders removed him from the truck, placed him on the ground, and tried to wake him because he was not responding. He later reported that he could not remember the full crash and only recalled being on the ground with people telling him not to stand up. The truck had moderate front-end damage, with no airbag deployment and no damage to the windshield. The man said he hit his forehead on the steering wheel but had no visible injury and no head, neck, or back pain. Emergency responders found his movement and circulation normal and his breathing and other basic checks within acceptable limits, though his blood pressure was high. He denied using alcohol or drugs and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
