Woman anxious after rock threat and assault at strip mall

A 54-year-old woman at a strip mall reported that a person approached her and her family and threatened them with a rock. The same person then physically assaulted someone else nearby. The woman was not hit but became very anxious after being threatened and seeing the assault. She has a history of anxiety and high blood pressure and felt her blood pressure rise. Emergency responders calmed her and checked her vital signs, which showed high blood pressure and a fast heart rate. She requested further evaluation and was taken by ambulance to Scripps Mercy Hospital.
