Woman assaulted by mother at grocery store

Emergency crews responded to a grocery store in San Diego where a 22-year-old woman reported that her mother slapped her across the face and left superficial scratches on her arm. The woman complained of head pain and said she had brain surgery three days earlier for seizures at Rady Children’s Hospital. She has a history of bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety, and was expressing thoughts of self-harm. Medical staff found no obvious head trauma, and her vital signs were stable. She was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation and mental health care.
