Prowler detained by resident with handgun

A caller near James River Road reported a prowler on their property. The caller said their husband had the man cornered and could not be reached again at first. Officers tried several callbacks with no answer and noted there was no recent call history at the address. The caller later reconnected and reported that the husband was armed with a handgun and was holding the man until officers arrived. Dispatch gave officers the man’s age, clothing description, and noted that he appeared to have recently been in the hospital. Multiple units responded to the scene.
