Police investigate possible theft of parked vehicle

Officers in Statesville check for camera footage near Falls Street and Sharp Street while looking into a possible vehicle theft. The registered owner says the car was left in the driveway around 11 p.m., possibly with the keys inside, and that no one else should have access to it. Police run checks on a male subject previously involved in a crash with a Subaru and confirm that the owner does not know this person. The owner gives permission for officers to search the vehicle, and officers also check automated license plate systems but do not get a match on the suspected vehicle.
