Commercial fire alarm at apartment building

Fire crews responded to a commercial fire alarm at a large four-story apartment building at The Arbors at Shoulders Hill. The caller reported that the alarms had been sounding for about an hour. When the first engine arrived, they saw no signs of fire from three sides of the building, but the audible and visual alarms were still active and residents were not evacuating. An alarm company representative was on scene testing the system. Fire personnel planned to check a specific room because they believed the alarm might be related to a medical alert device. Another medical unit in the area was transporting one patient to Harborview hospital, but that appeared to be a separate matter.
