Fire crews check gas odor at public school

Fire crews responded to a report of a gas odor at a large public school. Students were leaving the building while units set up at the rear side of the school. Multiple engines and a ladder truck arrived, took command, and entered the building with gas monitors. They checked the area near the gas lines and monitored one side of the building but did not detect any gas related to the complaint. The incident was then reduced in scale while they continued to monitor the area briefly.
