Possible human finger found on neighborhood street

how does someone lose their finger, not only realize it fell off the hand where it was originally attached but keep walking, just to have some stranger find it on the street? doesn't that sound kind of sketchy, or is it just me? I wonder what that person was doing at the time of finding that finger .... hmmm
