Townhouse fire with light attic smoke and pets inside

Fire crews responded to a reported townhouse fire near Rexford Drive and Westover Court. Residents had exited the home after seeing smoke while taking a shower. Firefighters found smoke coming from the roof area and light smoke in the attic. The basement was initially clear, but later smoke was also reported from the basement. Crews searched the units, confirmed primary searches on multiple floors, and checked adjoining units for fire. The fire was believed to be centered in one unit, and neighbors reported dogs inside, which were later located. Conditions were described as not getting worse while firefighters continued to investigate and access the attic and affected walls.
