Man with knife shot after lunging at officers

I asked city of tonawanda cop recently, are all of the police in Tonawanda trained in mental heath crisis situations? yes we all are he said. ya right! 1 day a year probably when they have to take the annual training on everything they should know. its mandatory and it doesnt help a crisis. its a 5 minute review of a video they probably watched in in an in-service so ya trained for 15 min video inservice they just need to Watch review or whatever they want to call it and get multiple choice questions to pick from and they could have tased this person it goes quite a distance from suspect and the police they don't have to actually be that close to the suspect for the person having the mental crisis most of these people do not need to be shot by police
