Student walkout and separate alley disturbance reported

Officers are assigned to monitor a planned student walkout at Northtown Academy. About 100 students are expected to march west on West Peterson Avenue to Rogers Avenue near Starbucks and then return to the school. Around the same time, officers are sent to a report of shots fired near a school at Costner Avenue, based on a caller who said a man walked across the street and fired two shots. Units later request that responding cars slow their approach to that call. In a separate incident, there is a disturbance in an alley near Berto, where a man in a gray Subaru Forester is blocking the alley and acting verbally aggressive. There are also parking complaints reported at Carmen and Kimball and near Belmont, including a car parked in the loading zone of a daycare.
