Man intoxicated after smoking synthetic marijuana

Emergency medical staff report that a 34-year-old man smoked synthetic marijuana, referred to as "spice," earlier in the evening. After using the drug, he vomited several times but is no longer vomiting. His family found him confused in his room and called emergency services. When paramedics arrived, he was alert to who he was and the time but not to where he was. They note no recent illness, no signs of trauma, and a normal stroke check. His vital signs and blood sugar are within normal limits, and his condition does not appear sudden or severe. He is awake, stable, and being transported by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation of his altered mental state after drug use.
